Deluxe Guerlain Spa Will Open at the Regent Bal Harbour this Winter

Paris, Milan, Shanghai--and now Miami can lay claim to an ultra-chic Guerlain Spa. Opening at the new Regent Bal Harbour in North Miami’s Bal Harbour Village in time for the winter 2007 season, the 15-room, 10,000 square-foot Guerlain Spa will bring its world-renowned brand of skincare, fragrance, and cosmetics to a splendid oceanfront location.

“Guerlain Paris is one of the most respected fragrances, skincare and cosmetic companies in the world” said Guenter Richter, General Manager, The Regent Bal Harbour. “We're extremely pleased to be joining other notable destinations in Milan, Paris and at our sister hotel in Shanghai,” he continued.

The spa will utilize the complete line of Guerlain products in its customized treatments including: the Guerlain Impériale Massage; Exceptional Orchidée Impériale Treatment facial; Body Sublimation, including Five-Senses Hydrotherapy; Intensive Hand and Foot Therapies featuring a Medical Pedicure. Totally Transforming full-day spa packages include spa cuisine luncheons and Guerlain skincare offerings, while partial-day experiences like Jet-Lag and Pre-Flight offer the perfect three-hour spa escape.

“Guerlain began creating distinctive and innovative products as early as 1828,” said Linda Maiocco, Vice President of Marketing for Guerlain, Paris, USA. “Now more than ever, Guerlain is listening to clients’ desires to meet their expectations even more effectively and luxuriously.” she continued. Guerlain therapies rely less on equipment and technology than on personal attention.

Upon arrival, guests will be asked to complete a comprehensive Spa Therapy Questionnaire, which therapists use to create a personalized beauty and wellness strategy. In addition, questionnaire results are transferable to any Guerlain Spa worldwide so clients can continue their well-being journey wherever they travel.

With incomparable views of the Atlantic Ocean and Haulover Inlet, the Guerlain Spa will be available to guests at The Regent Bal Harbour and day visitors alike. Each of the 15 treatment rooms will feature a private en-suite bathroom. Other planned features include a state-of-the-art foot therapy lounge overlooking the water; hydrotherapy facilities; a wet therapy suite for specialized hydrotherapy and Vichy body treatments; an exclusive beachfront treatment cabana; men's and women's sauna and steam rooms; luxuriously-appointed locker rooms; and pre- and post-treatment relaxation lounges. Guests can unwind on the waterfront terrace before their scheduled appointments, and sip tea or juice after their treatments in the spa’s reflecting room--while preparing for re-entry into the “real world.” A full range of spa cuisine, created by the hotel's Executive Chef in conjunction with the Guerlain Spa, is available throughout the property.

After a relaxing treatment at the Guerlain Spa, guests can relax in the hotel's finely appointed surrounds--the outdoor pool, whirlpools, private cabanas, or two gourmet restaurants. Once re-energized, guests may then surf through the Gucci, Prada, and D& G boutiques in the Bal Harbour Shops for a little bling to match their post-spa-treatment glow.

With specially commissioned art works, semi-private and private elevators to guest rooms, and a spectacular signature restaurant, The Regent Bal Harbour redefines the luxury standard for Florida visitors. For more information, visit:

Take a Breather with Halekulani’s Rejuvenating Oxygen Facials

Oxygen is colorless, odorless, and essential to human life. Recently the vital element has been benefiting guests at Honolulu’s Halekulani Hotel who try SpaHalekulani’s Renewal Infusion and Luminous Infusion Facial. By means of an oxygen concentrator and applicator, topical hyperbaric pressure is created which allows serum penetration beyond the epidermis. The facial leaves the skin feeling smoother and tighter and it enables healthy new cell production. While oxygen facials are beneficial for all ages, they primarily target the signs of aging, including wrinkles, deep expression lines, uneven skin tones, dehydrated skin, and loss of elasticity. Recommended in a series, the facial’s benefits are maximized over extended use.

The Renewal Infusion Facial contains pure oxygen, super-hydraters, vitamins and antioxidants, which are infused into the skin to diminish fine lines and wrinkles, and is priced at $245. The Luminous Infusion Facial also embraces breakthrough oxygen technology but is a more powerful antioxidant treatment that instantly brightens the skin and is priced at $260.

Opened in 2003, SpaHalekulani presents guests with a menu of treatments, massages, body and facial therapies, organic hair and nail care services that are inspired by Hawaii’s diverse heritage. The Halekulani Hotel is located on Wakiki Beach in Honolulu. For more information, call 800-367-2343 or visit:

Newly Renovated Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa Features Nature’s Best Show on the Big Island

While lava from Kilauea Volcano continues to ooze to a barren part of Hawaii’s Big Island, the volcanic activity intrigues not only scientists, but also guests at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. For those who are planning a visit to the Big Island, the newly renovated Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa offers an opportunity to see this natural wonder firsthand.
