Spring is in the Air at The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Aviara

On the heels of being named the #1 Resort Spa in Southern California in the March 2006 issue of Condé Nast Traveler, The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Aviara has added a new signature treatment to celebrate the arrival of spring, the “Lavender Escape.”
A day at Four Seasons Resort Aviara begins with a detoxifying of the mind and soul in The Spa’s steam, sauna, and whirlpool facilities. Warm rays of sunlight bathe guests as they relax before their treatment in the co-ed solarium lounge. The Lavender Escape begins with a neck, back and shoulder massage accompanied by the floral fragrance of lavender. An “Essential Oil Cleansing Ritual” followed by a unique head and scalp lavender conditioning treatment concludes the treatment. The 50-minute experience, complete with a complimentary Lavender gift amenity is $145. Says spa director Kevin South, “With the new Lavender Escape, we touch all of the senses including sight, smell and touch. We even serve a special blend of lavender tea to complete the journey of the senses.”

For guests wishing to share the spa experience with a special someone, the Spring Couple’s Suite Package is the ideal choice. Two 50-minute massages in the surroundings of the romantic Couple’s Suite include chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of champagne. Relax in the private den with fireplace and Swiss shower or enjoy the secluded outdoor courtyard with whirlpool. A personal attendant assists with any of your needs during this unforgettable experience. The two-hour spring Couple’s Suite package is $530.

Four Seasons Hotel Boston Completes $43 Million Renovation

New guestrooms and corridors, virtually a new hotel inside the original structure await travelers to the Four Seasons Boston, a luxury AAA Five Diamond hotel overlooking the city’s famed Public Garden. The three-year, $43 million project is the most extensive renovation since the property opened in 1985. Design firm Babey Moulton Jue & Booth have created a new look for the hotel based on a modern New England home, incorporating contemporary design and technology along with Boston's old-world elements. It’s all very much in sync with the hotel’s surroundings, where the trendiest retailers have found a home in the heart of historic Boston.

The comforts of home played a large part in the guestroom design, with crisp white duvets, Rivolta linens, NXTV on-demand entertainment, comfortable sitting chairs and individual artwork in each room. Gone are the heavy draperies, quilted comforters and bulky armoires of old. Now, everything is lighter and sleeker, with marble-topped dressers and 42” plasma TVs with On-Command movies and games as well as iPod and MP3 connections.

At the hotel’s private spa and fitness center are a dry sauna, steam room, treatment room, a 44-foot lap pool and cardio equipment with personal TVs. Added to The Four Seasons already exceptional level of service is complimentary laundering for workout gear at the 24-hour fitness center.

In celebration of the new look, the Four Seasons Hotel Boston is offering several packages, including the Family Getaway, where parents receive a second room for the kids at half-price. For reservations call 617-338-4400 or visit:
