Lavande Nail Spa Announces Winter Menu of Nail Spa Packages
"Why pile on the pounds this holiday season when instead you can slather those delightful goodies on your toes and come away svelte and sparkling…?" asks Lavande Nail Spa creator Jennifer Leung.
Jennifer has created a menu of unique packages certain to ward off the stress of the holiday season.
Utilizing ingredients like warm chocolate, and basins filled with champagne and rose petals, Lavande Nail Spa has treats to tempt the appetite.
Like Water for Chocolate Pedicure (one hour, $54). A luxurious cocoa milk bath with a hint of vanilla warms the feet and heart with its delicious aromatic scent. An exfoliation of honey almond scrub is followed by a chocolate mud wrap to detoxify and restore energy. The finish: a soothing massage with cocoa butter cream.
Wine and Roses (one hour, $65). As the name suggests, this treatment begins with a fizzing chardonnay bubble bath filled with fresh rose petals. The feet are then revived with a wine scrub that utilizes grape-derived enzymes designed to gently remove dead skin cells and unveil smooth, soft skin. A Bulgarian rose scented warm towel treatment follows to prepare for a soothing massage.
Jennifer Leung founded Lavande Nail Spa in 2004; there are three locations, two in San Francisco and one in San Jose. For more information, visit: www.lavandenailspa.com.

Under the Mexican Sun: Four Seasons Punta Mita’s New Spa Treatments feature Mexican Green Coffee and Water Lilies
The Apuane Spa at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita has designed a trio of treatments that help guests take care of their skin as they make the most of time spent under the Mexican sun. A Pre-Tan Scrub and Mexican Green Coffee Slimming Wrap prep the body for sun worship, while a Water Lily Body Wrap heals the skin after a day spent exposed to the sun's rays. In keeping with spa tradition, the treatments provide healing and rejuvenation using products indigenous to Mexico, allowing guests to experience new world pampering in old world style. "When preparing for a vacation in the sun, people tend to forget that their skin will perform better when properly groomed for exposure," said Paul Telford, spa manager. "This combination of treatments is so fantastic because it helps to provide a foundation for an even, long-lasting tan and replenish moisture so the skin stays soft, supple and radiant."
Pre-Tan Body Scrub and Mexican Green Coffee Slimming Wrap. Developed by the Pevonia skin care line, the scrub includes a gentle massage using a blend of aromatic sea salts with ylang ylang, tangerine and lavender, mineral salts and essential oils to remove impurities and dead skin cells, while improving circulation. The scrub leaves the skin smooth, glowing and ready for the next step- the Mexican Green Coffee Slimming Wrap. The Mexican Green Coffee Slimming Wrap uses the healing power of coffee to slim, tone and detoxify. The product's natural enzymes assist the body in the breakdown of fat and help to eliminate a spongy appearance, leaving the skin bathing suit ready. Although the Pre-Tan Scrub and Mexican Green Coffee Slimming Wrap can be purchased individually, the two treatments complement one another and are recommended as a duo. Both treatments are 50 minutes.
Water Lily Body Wrap: The Mexican water lilies in this soothing treatment provide immediate relief to sun damaged, sensitive and overexposed skin. The 50-minute treatment includes a cooling period to help decrease the skin temperature, a chilled wrap, a relaxing mist spray and application of cooling gels—all of which counteract the negative effects of sun exposure.
Apuane’s 50-minute treatments cost about $150-$160, depending on the rate of exchange.
Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita is located in the state of Nayarit in Mexico. The name "Apuane" comes from the Huichol language and describes a stream of water often used in healing and spiritual awakening rituals. All of the spa’s body treatments use products which are natural and derived from the nutrient rich plant, marine and mineral ecology of Mexico. The property includes 114 guest rooms and 26 suites housed in 13 Mexican-style casitas. For more information, visit: www.fourseasons.com/puntamita.
